My post content

My work is rooted in an appreciation for free association — the way creation moves through instinct, curiosity, and the unpredictable nature of what catches my attention.
•
When I see something interesting, I often use it as a starting point for deeper observation. Sometimes that becomes a drawing. Sometimes it becomes an object. Sometimes it becomes a blog entry.
•
For example, I couldn’t help re-shooting this painted Molotow box truck from 2018, made while I was still living in Boston.
•
Around 2017 and onward, I experienced one of my biggest creative shifts: new mediums, new surfaces, and a deeper understanding of my conceptual concerns. Space became a major factor in the scale of many compositions from that period, and that relationship to space continued to expand when I relocated back to Houston.

My initial undergraduate studies in graphic design also significantly shaped my aesthetic direction. This folded cardboard experiment reflects my growing love for acrylic paint markers, graphic typography, and the possibilities of repurposed surfaces.

It feels good to revisit earlier work now — not as something separate from what I’m building, but as evidence of a thread that was already forming.
