Brandi “Noire” La Zard was raised in Houston, Texas.
She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Individualized Film/Video/Performance and Drawing) from California College of The Arts (and Crafts) in San Francisco/Oakland (RIP🙏🏾). Following the completion of her BFA, she was accepted into and briefly studied at New York University’s MFA Performance Studies program.

Her work has been selected and featured in the Creative Quarterly, as one of the National Finalists in the Fine Art Professional category for the No. 27 circulation. She has also been featured in WMN Zine, a publication dedicated to artists living with disabilities. In the summer of 2024, Ms. La Zard was included in Arts In A Square’s “Endless Dreams” #7 Virtual Exhibition.

In February 2025, Ms. La Zard was selected to participate in the Whataburger Museum of Art (WMOA)’s annual Black History Month exhibition, which is held both virtually and in-person. The annual exhibition showcases a new collection of artwork created by Black artists, highlighting their talent and creativity on their social media and website.

Currently, she resides and works in Houston, Texas. (well, Pearland, actually)
